Standard Welt
Description
Safety edges are recommended for most of our metal flashings. They serve to improve longevity by protecting the cut edge of the flashing from corrosion. Equally importantly, they help to ensure safety during installation as workers are not required to handle a sharp, guillotined edge.
Thomas can supply flashings with standard-welt (12.5mm) or Dutch-fold safety edges. However, they are not a prerequisite and can be omitted entirely from one or both sides of the flashing.
